Success Story - Adult Drug Rehab
When I came to Narconon Arrowhead, I had been fighting a battle with drugs and was getting my butt kicked. I was out of bullets and had no control over my life. I knew that I needed help, but did not honestly think anything could be done, because I was in too deep with an unethical lifestyle of crime and drug use. I was a terrible, dishonest son, an un-loyal, non-supportive father and husband. My mom never gave up on my ability to get help and turn my life around. She got me here to Narconon Arrowhead Drug Rehab Treatment Center. This program starts off great and keeps getting better. I have gained the ability to properly communicate with people. By completing the sauna program, I feel so much better and have regained a clear body and mind. I am aware of my life and I no longer dwell on past problems that kept me held up in life. I have regained the ability to be in full control of my life and make conscious, wise decisions. I know that I can have anything in life I want. I now know about all the areas that make up my life and what I must do to survive. Counseling
Counseling is a generally misunderstood word.
It is often interpreted as some evaluating for another and telling them what to think or do. Someone else’s opinion or evaluation is simply that, and gives no certainty of anything to the recipient.
This is a very limited view of the concept and it has very limited workability as well.
Counseling ideally should involve getting the individual to confront and communicate with and about the situations in life that they feel they have no control, or reduced control over.
Counseling should offer tools and life skills that the individual can use for themselves and observe for themselves whether they work.
More importantly, do they work for the individual himself?
